When Arizona declared the opioid epidemic a statewide health emergency, AHCCCS needed more than a static list of clinics. Syntasa built an AI-powered Provider Locator powered by Google Cloud’s Vertex AI and Gemini that lets any Arizona resident anonymously search for nearby treatment options in plain language, in any language.
Since launch, the platform has reached more than 20,000 individuals across 120 cities, with real-time provider availability, map-based filtering, and an admin backend that keeps the data accurate. It’s a blueprint for how AI can turn a public health crisis into a solvable problem.
